Your Money Is Safe At PCU

Purina Credit Union wants to assure you that your money is safe in a credit union. Since 1970, credit unions have been federally insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the National Credit Union Administration. The U.S. government backs this fund with full faith and credit just as it does the FDIC. NCUSIF provides the same amount of coverage for credit unions as the FDIC does for banks: up to $250,000 per depositor for deposit accounts, such as share savings and checking, and additional coverage of up to $250,000 per depositor for other types of accounts, such as IRAs. CLICK-24 W/BILLPAYER TIDBITS...

Scheduled Maintenance And Non-Processing Dates

For both Click-24 AND BillPayer

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE - CLICK-24 ONLY...
Our CLICK-24 provider performs system maintenance typically twice each month from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Frequency and dates of maintenance sessions vary at the discretion of Digital Insight. You will not be able to log into your account through Click-24 during this time on these dates; however, any scheduled transactions for those dates should not be affected.

Upcoming maintenance dates are:

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE - BILLPAYER PORTION OF CLICK-24...
Our BillPayer provider also performs routine system maintenance. This maintenance is conducted each Sunday morning from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. CST. You will still be able access your accounts via Click-24; however, BillPayer may not be available during these times. Just as with the CLICK-24 ONLY maintenance, your scheduled transactions in BillPayer will not be affected.

NON-PROCESSING DATES FOR CLICK-24 and BILLPAYER...
There are several non-processing holidays annually. It will not be possible for account transfers or payments arranged for these holidays to be processed on the date requested. The transfers and payments will be processed on the following business day. Should you need a payment to be paid by a holiday date, please be sure to make the processing date at least two days prior to that holiday if the payment goes electronically. If a payee is paid by check, please be sure to select a processing date seven to ten days prior to allow for the check to be created, delivered, and processed at the payee site.

CO-OP Network:  PCU is a member of the CO-OP Network. This membership provides you with access to over 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs (9,000 are deposit taking) nationwide and in Canada. Of these, 5,500 ATMs are located inside 7-Elevens nationwide. You'll also find surcharge-free ATMs at 320 COSTCO stores. Going overseas? There are 800,000 CO-OP ATMs worldwide! You may now access the CO-OP ATM list in two ways:

1. Via the Internet ...Visit the CO-OP Network web site to find an ATM nearest you.
2. Via your cell phone...You may also use your cell phone to find a location nearest you. ID Theft Information

Please use caution if you receive any emails that ask you to provide confidential information or to click links to visit web pages that ask you to provide confidential information. Many such emails are sent by criminals attempting to trick recipients into providing confidential information like user names and passwords. Known as phishing, many such fraudulent emails may appear to be from official or trusted sources. Please report any phishing messages you receive to the Anti-Phishing Work Group. After you report the message to the APWG, simply delete the message from your email inbox.

Similar to phishing is vishing. This is the attempt to acquire confidential information, with which to commit fraud, via telephone. Scam artists are also using text messages to contact potential victims. Should you receive such a request, please just hang up or delete the message.

Learning as much general information about identity theft as you can is very simple. Not only is knowledge – power, but it is also protection. Free, Annual Credit Reports

An amendment to the Fair Credit Reporting Act allows you to receive a free credit report from each of the three nationwide credit recording bureaus annually. A central web site and toll-free number, (877) 322–8228, have been established to process these report requests. For more information, please visit the Federal Trade Commission web site.

Our Brown Bag Educational Seminars are great, basic learning tools.
